TfW is pleased to offer a number of discounts to member employers and their employees.  Discounts are just one way of incentivising commuters to consider travelling sustainably.

We would like to express our thanks to our partner organisations, enabling us to pass on such great discounts to Cambridgeshire commuters.

Train Season Tickets - 10% Discount!

Employees of TfW full members can access a special discount rate on season tickets and bulk buy tickets purchased for travel to work by train.

The season ticket discount is made available on tickets purchased from Greater Anglia and First Capital Connect.

Up to 20 bulk buy tickets at a time may be purchased for use on the Greater Anglia network, and between your local station to London or vice versa with First Capital Connect. First Capital Connect sells Carnet booklets with 10 single journeys.  For more information click Carnet and view the website at: www.firstcapitalconnect.co.uk/carnet

Season tickets may be purchased for valid travel from any Greater Anglia or selected First Capital Connect stations (north of Potters Bar) to Cambridge, St Neots, Huntingdon or Ely stations only.

Full details including instructions on how and where to purchase tickets and route maps can be found by clicking 'Staff Brief'.

The full list of TfW members eligible for this discount can be found here.  This list will be used by Greater Anglia and First Capital Connect to validate season ticket purchases.

Cycle Shops - Up to 15% Discount!

Travel for Work has negotiated significant discounts with local cycle shops for TfW network members. (If you are unsure if your organisation is full member of TfW check out our full TfW employers list or contact the team.)

Adult Cycle Training

Individual's needs vary considerably and commonly the major barrier to people cycling to work is safety.  Adult cycle training ensures that employees feel safe and confident on their commute.

Both Outspoken and Ridingabike offer Adult Cycle Training sessions at employer sites.  Outspoken also offer classroom sessions to highlight hazard awareness and the most important factors to be aware of when cycling on the road.

Cycle Maintenance Training

Alongside safety, being stranded by the side of the road unable to fix a puncture or perform basic bicycle maintenance is a significant barrier to people cycling.  You could also have a bike in the garage that hasn't seen the light of day for years!  Cycle maintenance training can significantly increase confidence in performing basic bicycle maintenance and perhaps even save you a few pounds by avoiding the need to use a specialist bike shop.

Both Outspoken and Ridingabike offer basic Cycle Maintenance Sessions at employer sites and can run more in-depth maintenance courses as required.  For more information on fees and course detail:
